Privacy Policy

Inner Presence ("the App") is built on a foundation of trust. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights — in plain language.

1. What Data We Collect

Anonymous Device Identifier

The App generates or receives an anonymous, random device-scoped identifier (RevenueCat appUserID or a locally-generated install UUID). This identifier is not linked to your name, email, phone number, or any personally identifiable information. It is stored locally on your device and sent to our backend via the X-Rork-User-Id header solely to track your session progress and premium entitlement across app launches.

Session & Curriculum Data

When you complete a breathing session or meditation practice, the App logs the session type, duration, and associated curriculum week to our backend (Cloudflare Durable Objects). This data is tied only to your anonymous device identifier and is used exclusively to display your progress inside the App.

Subscription & Purchase Data

The App uses RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management platform, to handle in-app purchases and subscription entitlements. RevenueCat processes your purchase tokens, subscription status, and renewal events. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy. We do not collect or store your payment card details — payments are processed directly by Google Play.

2. Device Permissions

The App requests the following Android permissions:

Vibrate — for haptic feedback during guided breathing sessions (optional, non-sensitive).
Notifications — to send optional daily practice reminders. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
Exact Alarm — used solely to schedule notification delivery. No background tracking or data collection occurs.
Internet — required to sync session progress and verify premium entitlements with our backend.

3. How We Use Your Data

To save and display your session history and curriculum progress inside the App.
To verify your premium subscription status via RevenueCat.
To deliver scheduled notification reminders (if enabled).
To protect our infrastructure via anonymous rate-limiting.

We never sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party beyond the essential services listed above.

4. Data Storage & Retention

Session data and curriculum progress are stored in Cloudflare Durable Objects, keyed by your anonymous device identifier. Data is retained indefinitely to preserve your progress history, but you can request deletion at any time (see Section 6).

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the App, please contact us so we can delete it.

6. Your Rights

Since all data is tied to an anonymous device identifier rather than personal identity, deletion requests are handled per-device. To request deletion of your session data or to ask any privacy-related questions, contact us at:

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
